One of our existing client has issues managing bugs and minor workitems. Due to their skeleton crew the team was overwhelmed with request and had massive backlogs with tons of high priority stuff. This problem was taking time away from their team to really do any productive work in a timely manner. Our client didnt want to increase their headcount mainly due to seasonality impact.

After our discussion with out client, we build an strategic process management roadmap that provided them with on-demand resoruces that can be pulled in and out anytime during BAU work. Our team of 4 developers and program manager started engaging with user submitting request and created a process on how to resolve these issues. In many cases we walked users on action they can take themseleves. In other cases we went back and were involved in more broader changes, by the time we released the project (or bug) and validated the changes we did a handover to the team with steps to resolve in future.

By buidling an adhoc on-demand team for our client, we didnt just come and solved bugs but improved processes around managing these issues. Ex We provided submitter with steps to validate, basic troubleshoot and reproduce. The feedback was immensely positive and it helped their team to focus on major projects. As per our client, the new process was affordable and helped their team to focus on major stuff.
